The ship's articles

Make your mark, matey.

Real pirates signed articles before they sailed. Ours are shorter, sillier and entirely voluntary, and signing them takes one button.
The Pirate Enjoyers Club articles

Every hand agrees to the following

Article I

Every hand gets a share

Of the fun, the shanty and the deck. Nobody is too new to belong and nobody is too good to sing.

Article II

Arr is a complete sentence

It can mean yes, no, hello, goodbye or “I have just seen something amazing.” Context will sort it out.

Article III

Be good to your crewmates

Pirates insult each other only affectionately. Anyone being a genuine scallywag can find another ship.

Article IV

Friday is sacred

The ship sails every Friday night. A hand may miss a Friday. A hand may not be smug about it.

Article V

Everyone gets to be a pirate

Whoever you are, whatever your avatar, however you sound: you are a pirate if you say you are. That was the whole idea.

Before ye sail

This site was made for a real VR pirate group, and its Friday night voyages are real. The crew has not yet put its name to the site, so “Pirate Enjoyers Club” stands in for now, and the crew's own name, links and the way to join will be added when the crew says so.

We love the age of sail: the ships, the flags, the songs and the hats. Real piracy, then and now, meant violence against real people at sea, and none of that is what we enjoy or endorse. Every pirate on this site is pretend.

The buttons on this site keep a count and nothing else. All artwork was drawn for this site. The views expressed here are not necessarily supported or condoned by VRCooperative.
